The Lantern Tower. At 55 metres high, it is one of the tallest towers of La Rochelle. The tower is composed of two parts. The base is a cylinder of 25 metres high and 15 metres in diameter. The second part was built in the late 15th C as an octagonal flamboyant Gothic spire.
